Paolo Fabriani is an IT professional with experience in technical and coordination roles in research projects with a focus on distributed computing. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Roma “La Sapienza” (2000). Since then, he has been directly involved in EU co-funded research and innovation projects of growing size and impact, initially as a software developer and architect as well as release manager, and then with technical leadership roles. He led the Cloud&Edge Research Lab in Engineering Ingegneria Informatica where he coordinated project teams (10+ researchers) and following the whole projects’ lifecycle, from their inception and proposal, up to execution. His main interests and expertise are on cloud interoperability and automation (projects EGI-Engage, BlueBRIDGE), cloud monitoring and benchmarking (projects CloudPerfect, EasyCloud, Pledger, ICOS) as well as integration and release activities (projects PHArA-ON, iMarine and D4Science and ETICS).
