Carmela Occhipinti, Co-Founder & Board Manager of CyberSocial Lab., holds a degree in Political Science and is a researcher and innovation expert. She worked for 24 years as Head of the Security and Privacy Lab in a major Italian ICT company.
She has obtained PMP, ITIL Expert, PRINCE2, and SCRUM Master certifications and is a member of the Italian Chapter of the International Information Security System Certification Consortium (ISC)2. Thanks to her professional background, she is an expert in the social impact of new technologies, particularly in the ethical and societal fields.
She teaches Privacy Law in numerous Project and Service Management courses for private and public companies. She is a researcher in several European projects, mainly in the security field, where she serves as Project Coordinator, Technical Director, Innovation Manager, Dissemination Manager, and Ethical Manager.
In recent years, her research interests have shifted towards privacy and data protection issues. She has collaborated with an Italian law firm and participates in European commissions for Horizon 2020 projects, supporting partners in managing ethical and privacy-related challenges.
